Still. One time I got maybe 30 minutes in, Now, lag is so terrible that even considering playing this game is down right impractical. Even on new games and reinstallations, interface lag is enough to uninstall.Edit: Seems to work now! I'm still too new to give a complete endorsement, but it is running very smoothly for those on the fence or deterred from my ancient assessment.. Not a bad game. For the price I hope they intend on contuinuing to expand it, as its currently not that deep. Ignore the negative reviews, most if not all try to compare it to dwarf fortress, which it is not. While DF will always be the king, it is really showing its age at this point, and I dont mean the graphics. DF is really really spaghettified and still single threaded. Dont get me wrong, the depth of DF is great, and I still play it, this mornign in fact. But I like Dorf corp as well.. I gave this a positive thumbs up because seems like this could potentially be a great game. I've only played it for little over an hour just enough to see some bugs, get a feel for the gameplay, and give my first impressions. So far its pretty fun. There are a few annoyances like the dwarves mining blocks you have not even selected. I had one of my dwarves get stuck inside a block near the starting point and he remained stuck until I mined the block to release him. I do like the game though and bugs are expected in early access. For me i didn't notice any performance issues. Should you buy the game? If you want to help support the devs sure. If your looking for a more complete game with loads of content wait until later when more stuff is added. Right now there is not much. Definitely full of potential and one thing I really love is that the game appears to support modding though I did not find alot on that front as of yet.. I love this game. (review will be updated)Pros:Easy to get into, fun to build, and the new update really fixed lagging!Team is very quick to fight off bugs and open to ideas!Cons:EA so yes there are some bugs mainly footpaths and priority tasks pilling up.Features are missing and things to keep it new are lacking. (wishing you can travel to trade or make an auto market)Get this if you want to support and help with this gameDon't if you want a full game and extremely bored with your library.. I love this game. The tutorial was helpful and easy to understand, The Splice Tool was a beautiful idea, Unique names that made me laugh! Controls were easy to learn. But! I've also noticed placing some of the objects such as forage and stove drop the FPS. I would also like to add some suggestions for the game: Option to move Items stored at balloon port to a zoned Storage area, Option to turn off Snow! Add Wanderers and Have a chance for Wanderers (Goblins, Moles, Skeletons, Ect) To join youI Love the work You've put into this game so far! Do keep up the good work.. I will update this if I see any improvements. This game looks very promising! You might call it 3D Dwarf Fortress Lite, but it still already has more features than most other games in the same genre, and it's fully playable and fun at launch, so it definitely gets points there! However, I still can't recommend it in its current state. I experienced several issues, the biggest of which was the framerate. Even on the lowest settings, it was unplayable after a few hours of playing. This might be because I'm using an older laptop, but it runs other games that should be a lot more intense just fine. I noticed the framerate got much worse after I dug down pretty far, but that may just be a coincidence. The autosave feature also needs a lot of work. It completely ruins the flow of the game, and it's very intrusive. You can adjust the frequency, or disable it but that doesn't really solve the problem. I appreciate the feature because I forget to save sometimes, but I would like to see improvements there. Unlike some other players, I haven't experienced any crashes, so I can't comment on that.Overall, I like this game a lot, but there are some pretty basic flaws right now that probably need to be fixed.. WARNING: The current state of the game is still messy but can absolutely be considered a good representation of the game.Update 3: Multiple patches in. Lots of big offending bugs have been eradicated and new content is slowly being added. Dev team increased in size and things are progressing slowly but steadily.Update 2: Multiple gamebreaking and minor bugfixes. Ever since the game runs a lot more stable and has some of the more glaring issues fixed. Main showstoppers still exist but it's taking shape very nicely and it's currently a very good representation of the main game.Update 1: The game has been patched to better support savegame functionality and overall stability. Pathfinding remains a glaring issue but the game is a lot more stable since then. (updated first line, fully indicative of the game now with a major problem sort of fixed.)-Original inception review-Crashes are frequent, plenty of bugs to annoy everyone with and loads of other small problems, but overall this game has insanely huge potential. If you want to start here, at the groundfloor, then you want to pick this up as soon as you can, because if it's any indication of the potential here, it's going to be a vastly superior game in due time.Personally i've had a lot of good and a lot of bad experiences with it, but i see the potential and i see how this could develop, so i'm recommending it on those grounds.- --- -I'll edit this review with better / more detailed information as the game expands.. looks charming very promising lots of crashes. I've played many games like this over time, however although a good idea, just being able to control characters is terrible. Give that in most games like this your characters are just automatic depending on what you decide to do or build, this is just bad.Just general control is bad as well.
